1. What is KYC?

KYC means "Know Your Customer". It is an identity-verification process used to help confirm that an account belongs to the person who is using it and to support applicable security, compliance and service requirements.

2. Why KYC May Be Required

To verify account ownership and identity.

To help prevent fraud, misuse and unauthorized financial activity.

To enable services that require identity verification.

To support transaction, account or beneficiary risk checks.

To satisfy applicable legal, banking, payment-provider or compliance requirements.

3. Information That May Be Requested

Depending on the verification process and service requirements, Vfirstpe may request information such as:

Full name and profile details

Date of birth where required

Address information

Registered mobile number

Email address

Identity-document details

Identity-document images

Photograph or selfie where required

4. Accepted Verification Documents

The exact documents accepted by Vfirstpe may depend on the verification method, service provider and applicable requirements.

Only documents specifically requested in the KYC flow should be submitted. Users should not upload unrelated sensitive documents.

5. Document Submission

Documents should be clear, readable and complete.

The information should match the account-holder details where required.

Users must submit genuine documents belonging to them or documents they are legally authorized to provide.

Altered, forged, misleading or unauthorized documents must not be submitted.

6. Verification Review

Submitted KYC information may be reviewed manually, automatically or with the assistance of authorized identity-verification service providers.

Additional information, corrected documents or resubmission may be requested if the original submission is unclear, incomplete, inconsistent or cannot be verified.

7. KYC Status

KYC may appear as pending, approved, rejected or requiring resubmission depending on the result of the verification process.

Pending

Verification is still being reviewed.

Approved

Verification has been successfully completed.

Rejected

The submitted information could not be accepted.

Resubmission

New or corrected information may be required.

8. Reasons KYC May Be Rejected

Documents are unreadable, incomplete or expired where validity is required.

Information does not match the account or verification requirements.

The submitted document appears altered, fraudulent or unauthorized.

Required information is missing.

The verification provider cannot confirm the submitted information.

The account or activity raises security or compliance concerns requiring further review.

9. Security of KYC Information

KYC information is sensitive and should be handled through protected application flows. Access should be limited to authorized personnel, systems and service providers that require the information for permitted purposes.

Users should upload KYC information only through official Vfirstpe channels and should not send identity documents to unknown persons, unofficial messaging accounts or unverified email addresses.

10. Sharing of KYC Information

KYC information may be shared with authorized identity-verification providers, payment partners, banking partners or competent authorities where necessary to provide a service or comply with applicable requirements.

Such information should not be shared for unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal or operational basis.

11. Retention of KYC Records

KYC information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate relevant services, prevent fraud, handle disputes and satisfy applicable legal, regulatory, audit or record-keeping requirements.

Closing an account may not result in immediate deletion of records that must be retained for lawful compliance or security purposes.

12. Updating KYC Information

Users should keep their identity and profile information accurate and current. Updated verification may be required if important information changes, documents expire or additional verification becomes necessary.

13. Restrictions Before Verification

Some Vfirstpe services may be restricted, limited or unavailable until the required verification has been successfully completed.

The exact restrictions depend on the service, account status, provider rules and applicable requirements.

14. Privacy

Personal and KYC information is also handled according to the Vfirstpe Privacy Policy.
